On its way from Portsmouth, Virginia, to Rocky Mount, NC, F781 crosses the trestle over the abandoned section of the Seaboard Air Line right of way. The Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line both shared this station, and an elevated platform served ACL passengers. The platform, and a few stray ties, show the path the SAL used to take on its way to a bridge over the Roanoke River. CSX uses a loop that diverges from the old right of way just behind the camera to connect to the A-line south of town. The track runs on the other side of the Ex-Southern caboose in the background.
